According to the US State Department, the delegation will meet officials of the interim government, representatives of private-sector garment workers, and labour union leaders during the visit.
They will also hold discussions with American companies investing in the ready-made garment sector and global labour experts to explore ways to support Bangladesh’s economy, democracy, and workers effectively. The visit underscores the United States’ commitment to economic development, internationally recognised labour standards, and promoting sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
