Online Desk : Two namaj-e-janaza of Advocate Saiful Islam Alif were held on Wednesday in the port city of Chittagong. Saiful was killed during clashes among police, lawyers, people and follower of ISKON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari at the Chittagong court premises on Tuesday. The first namaj-e-janaza was held at the Chittagong Court Building premises on Wednesday morning, while the second namaj-e-janaza was held at Jamiatul Falah Jatiya Masjid ground. Public Administration Ministry adviser Hasan Ariff was present at the namaj-e-janaza. He pledged to bring all the miscreants involved in the murder to justice.
Besides, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement convener Hasnat Abdullah, Sarjis Alam, lawyers, politicians and people from all strata of the society took part in the namaj-e-janaza. After another namaj-e-janaza at Lohagara in Chittagong in the afternoon, Advocate Saiful Islam Alif was buried there.
Meanwhile, as many as 33 people have so far arrested in connection with Tuesday’s incident. Besides, preparations were going on after scrutinizing the arrested persons.
Advocate Saiful Islam Alif was an inhabitant of Chunti area under Lohagara upazila. His father is Jalal Uddin. Saiful became member of the Chittagong Bar Association in 2018. Later, he was enrolled as a lawyer of the High Court. Saiful Islam Alif was killed in the attack of the followers of ISKON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari at the Chittagong court premises on Tuesday.
