Online Desk  :  A truck fell into Turag river after breaking Bailey bridge in Gazipur’s Tongi around 2:45AM on Saturday. But, the driver of the truck managed to flee. Meanwhile, Gazipur Metropolitan Police have requested the passersby to take alternative ways.

No injuries were reported. “Police are on the site. The incident has been reported to roads and highways. They will take action in this regard,’ said deputy police commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police Ibrahim Khan. All passengers and vehicles traveling on this route are requested to use the Kamarpara Munnugate, instead of Tongi Bridge, according to a Facebook post of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

Mohammad Liakat Ali, assistant police commissioner (Traffic), said the vehicles are movement through the flyover, though the Baily bridge collaplsed.
