18.33 lakh new voters, final list due March 2

Online Desk : The Election Commission (EC) has added 18,33,352 new voters to the country’s electoral roll, according to a draft updated list published on Thursday (January 2). Election Commissioner Brigadier General (retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah shared the information during a briefing at the Election Building. He said that the total number of voters before the update was 12,18,50,160. With the new additions, the voter count has risen to 12,36,83,512, marking a 1.50% increase.

The final voter list will be published on March 2, following the resolution of any claims and objections. Citizens can submit their claims or objections until January 17, he added.
