Online Desk : The Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, has assured full cooperation from the Army in the investigation of the BDR carnage. A delegation from the National Independent Investigation Commission, formed to reinvestigate the BDR carnage, met with the Army Chief at the Army Headquarters in Dhaka on Monday. The delegation, led by Major General (retd) ALM Fazlur Rahman, Chairman of the Commission, discussed several important issues with the Army Chief.
During the meeting, the Commission members specifically requested assistance from the Bangladesh Army to facilitate the investigation. The Army Chief assured them of full support throughout the investigation process. Other members of the Commission include Major General (retd) Md Jahangir Kabir Talukder, Brigadier General (retd) Md Saidur Rahman Bir Pratik, former Joint Secretary Munshi Alauddin Al Azad, former DIG Dr. M. Akbar Ali, Associate Professor of Political Science at Dhaka University Md Shariful Islam, and Assistant Professor Mohammad Shahnewaz Khan Chandan from Jagannath University.
