Online Desk : Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman expressing disappointment over the ongoing corruption and extortions across the country said the war against those is yet to end. It will continue until justice is achieved in the country. He humbly requested those, who are still extorting and encroaching since August 5 to stop this act. The souls of the martyrs will be hurt and the humanity will be insulted if they continue the practice.
Dr Shafiqur Rahman made the remark while speaking as the chief guest at a workers’ conference of the Rajshahi District Jamaat-e-Islami held at the Madrasa Field in Rajshahi on Saturday. He said, “Our war will continue until justice prevails in the country.” Responding to a question over the number of the martyrs belong to the Jamaat, Dr Shafiqur Rahman said they do not want to their recognition to mere party affiliation—they are national assets.
So don’t hurt those who took to the streets and joined the movement with the intention to become martyrs. Those who will not pay heed to our request must remember that the war is yet to be over. Even if one hand is gone, they are ready to fight with the other hand. Such courageous individuals exist among us. He said, “Through the establishment of this Quranic rule, we want to build a humane country and a Bangladesh free from corruption and misrule”.
The Jamaat Ameer said for fifteen and a half years, the then government has waged atrocities on scholars for 15 years. Two Jamaat Amir among 11 of the party leaders were killed. Many of the leaders and activists were disappeared for protesting against the injustice. They had killed people, destroyed jobs, and businesses, and even made it impossible for people to stay in the country
He said many remain living martyrs, with their limbs shattered and their vision lost. But on August 5, the Allah liberated this nation from their oppression.
