Online Desk  :    Bangladesh’s approach to bilateral discussions with India will have a different “tone” at the upcoming BGB-BSF Director General-level border conference, commented Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. The adviser made the remarks during a press briefing at the ministry on Wednesday (January 29). His comments came following a preparatory inter-ministerial meeting to discuss various bilateral issues ahead of the 55th BGB-BSF Director General-level border conference, scheduled to take place in New Delhi, India, from February 17 to 20. The Home Affairs Advisor chaired the meeting.  During the briefing, the adviser outlined the agenda for the border conference.

When asked by a journalist if there was anything new in the issues to be discussed, he responded, “What kind of newness are you looking for? The novelty lies in the tone of our dialogue this time—it will be different from how things were communicated in the past.”
