Online Desk : Regarding the nationwide operation ‘Devil Hunt,’ Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, “The operation will continue until the ‘devil’ is completely eradicated.” He made this statement while speaking to journalists on Sunday morning after inaugurating the newly-built “Mrittika Bhaban” at the Soil Resource Development Institute in Farmgate, Dhaka. “Many of those involved in the attack on students and the public in Gazipur have already been brought under the law, and the rest will be apprehended soon,” said the Home Adviser.
Jahangir Alam also mentioned that the ‘Devil Hunt’ operation would target those who attempt to destabilize the country. Regarding the arrest of five senior officials of the police, the Home Adviser stated, “People know about the crimes committed by those who have been arrested.” Meanwhile, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nazmul Karim Khan stated that 65 individuals have been arrested so far in the ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ following the attack on students.
