Online Desk  :   Home Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has stated that the police will not engage in unlawful activities as the servants of any political party. He made the statement on Sunday morning (February 23) during the passing-out parade of probationary assistant superintendents of police from the 40th BCS Police Cadre at the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarda, Rajshahi. He said, “The state of Bangladesh belongs to all citizens, not to any political party, group, or community. The Bangladesh Police are independent employees of the republic, who follow specific laws. As employees of the republic, the Bangladesh Police will work relentlessly to ensure the overall security of all citizens and uphold the rule of law. They will not act as the servants of any party, implement agendas, or carry out unlawful and unjust instructions, engaging in unprofessional conduct or illegal activities. You will all take an oath to this effect today.”
