Expressing confidence in his party’s prospects, Rahman asserted that the BNP would win if elections are held fairly. He called on party members to stand by the people in both good and bad times, emphasizing the need for responsibility and public acceptance. Rahman highlighted the sacrifices made by BNP members, claiming that hundreds of thousands faced false cases, while thousands were killed or disappeared during their struggle to restore democracy. He also paid tribute to the 2,000 students and citizens who lost their lives during the July-August 2024 uprising, urging everyone to honor their sacrifices.
Calling for collective efforts to ensure food, education, healthcare, and communication for the people, Rahman accused the Awami League of pushing the country to the brink of ruin. “The Awami League has destroyed the country, and now we must rebuild it,” he said. The rally, presided over by Khulna city BNP convenor Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona, featured speeches by BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council Member Amanullah Aman, Vice Chairman Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Organizing Secretary Aninda Islam Amit, and Student Affairs Secretary Rakibul Islam Bakul, among others.
