Online Desk  :   Teachers and students of Dhaka University held a protest rally at the foot of Aparajeyo Bangla inside the campus on Sunday. Around 11AM, they held the rally protesting the violence against women. Prof Giti Ara Nasrin of the university’s Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, and Associate Prof Samina Lutfa of the Department of Sociology spoke at the rall among others.

The students from different departments also formed human chains and staged protest processions, chanting slogans against rape and women violence. Meanwhile, students of the Department of Public Administration of the university brought out a protest procession boycotting classes and examinations protesting nationwide sexual harassment.
