ICT issues arrest warrants for Hasina, 8 others

Online Desk : The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Wednesday issued arrest warrants for nine individuals, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in connection with the alleged mass killing at Shapla Chattar on May 5, 2013.

Apart from Sheikh Hasina, the other accused in the case are former Home Minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, former spokesperson of the Ganajagaran Mancha Imran H Sarker, former Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed, and Hasan Mahmud Khondkar, among others. Of the accused, Ziaul Ahsan, Tuku, and four others are currently in custody, while the rest remain fugitives.
