Online Desk  :   The eight-year-old child, who was brutally violated by relatives in Magura, has died after seven-day fight for life. She died at about 1PM on Thursday at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka while she had been undergoing treatment since March 8. The Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) confirmed the death in a press release. The Bangladesh Army expressed its grivance and condolences to the bereaved family.

The child suffered three cardiac arrests this morning and her brain was not functioning. In the morning, her blood pressure and oxygen levels are very low, according to her medical board. The child was initially admitted to Magura General Hospital and, later, transferred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as her condition deteriorated. On Thursday (March 6) she was moved to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) before being shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Saturday.
