AK Palash Comilla representative : Some political parties are engaging in diplomacy to take electoral advantage to rehabilitate Awami League. Hasnat Abdullah, the main organizer of Jatiya Nagrik Party-NCP’s southern region, said, “Let me warn you that we have ousted the Awami League from Bangladesh by shedding fresh blood on the streets of students and citizens, today there is a conspiracy to rehabilitate that Awami League. He said, conspiracies are continuing abroad.  Various political parties are engaging in diplomacy to rehabilitate the Awami League for electoral gains.  We want to warn you-this student citizen has nothing to lose.  Just as there cannot be two swords in one sheath, Awami League and NCP cannot exist in the same way in Bangladesh after August 5. If someone wants to rehabilitate the Awami League, the same thing that happened to Ganabhaban and Bangabhaban on August 5 will happen to them too.

Hasnat Abdullah said these things while addressing the chief guest at the Ganaiftar and Doa ceremony in memory of the martyred and wounded Ghazis of Fascism-free Bangladesh organized by Jatiya Nagrik Party Comilla on Wednesday (March 19). Jatiya Nagrik Party also joint member Rifat Rashid presided over the event. Hasnat Abdullah also said that the people could not vote in the last three elections.  The administration voted, the election was conducted by the administration.  Awami administration has no ability to conduct a transparent and free and fair election. Until this administration reforms, until we’re sure this administration can have a free and fair election—we’re not sure.  That is why we want the transparency of this administration to be tested through local government elections.  I will call upon the interim government to hold local government elections.  Ensure the transparency of this administration by conducting elections in as many upazilas as necessary step by step – 5/6 steps.
