Online Desk : Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Ameer, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, has urged people from all walks of life to remain restrained, vigilant, and united, rising above party affiliations to act responsibly in the greater interest of the country. He made this appeal in a post on his verified Facebook page on Friday morning. Stating that the public will not accept the rehabilitation of the Awami League, Jamaat Ameer wrote, “Bangladesh is passing through a critical turning point in its history. After a long rule of a fascist government, we were gifted with a new Bangladesh in 2024 by the grace of Almighty Allah. In order to destabilize the country, the fallen fascists are engaged in various conspiracies both at home and abroad”
He further wrote, “The 180 million oppressed people of Bangladesh demand the trial of the perpetrators of genocide, rehabilitation of the families of the martyrs of 2024, proper treatment for the countless injured and disabled students, youth, and freedom-seeking individuals, and necessary preparations for fair elections by undertaking fundamental reforms to eliminate the remnants of 15 years of misrule.” The Jamaat Ameer further added, “People want to see the trial of those who committed genocide. There is no room for considering anything beyond this.” The Jamaat Ameer also urged people from all walks of life to remain restrained, vigilant and united in order to protect the sovereignty of the country.
