Online Desk : BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that fallen dictator Shekh Hasian wanted to change the history with rifles.He made the statement on Monday while speaking at a press conference held at the party’s central office in Naya Paltan, Dhaka. The veteran politician said that Awami League (AL) considered the Independence achieved at the cost of the blood of millions of martyrs as its personal property. “Since our great Independence, AL started looting and performing misdeeds, making people’s life miserable.”
Mentioning that AL has established a state of terror in the country, he said: “During Ziaur Rahman’s rule, people used to sleep with the doors of their houses open.” During that time, some foreign agents were plotting against the country like today. “Sheikh Hasina wanted to change history by force, by issuing verdicts, and by using rifles, but failed,” he said, adding: “The students, knowing the real history, jumped into the July coup.” Dictatorship cannot actually survive in the country. “From afar, BNP Acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman has worked to restore democracy through leadership,” he furthered.
The BNP leader talked about the rise in the price of daily necessaries, saying: “Although the prices of some products have come down, the prices of rice, pulses and chicken among daily necessities are increasing rapidly.” He stressed for the necessary steps to curb the price. He also discussed the law and order situation of the country and said: “Why the looters are out for long? If the police and administration don’t take necessary steps in due time, people will turn their backs to them.” Highlighting the law and order situation, this Rizvi said: “Why snatchers rule sustains for long? Then why is there a police administration? If you can’t do the right thing at the right time, people will turn their backs.” Many BNP leaders and activists were present at the press conference.
