Online Desk  :   A fire broke out on the ground floor of a five-storey building in the Nazimuddin Road area of Bangshal, Dhaka, early Monday, resulting in one death. Six others suffered from smoke inhalation and are receiving treatment at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). The incident occurred around 5:30 am. Upon receiving the news, seven firefighting units responded and took about an hour to control the blaze. Several people were rescued and taken to the hospital, where one was declared dead by on-duty doctors.

Md Faruk, the in-charge of the DMCH Police Camp, confirmed the incident, stating that the fire started on the ground floor of the five-storey building. Eight people were brought to the burn unit of the hospital, and one was declared dead. The other six are currently undergoing treatment.
