Once inside the station compound, police personnel intervened and took him into custody. Some of the attackers accused Siddiq of being an “agent of Awami League” and shouted political slogans during the handover. One individual in the video was narrating the event, stating, “We are handing over Siddiq, a stooge of Awami League, to the police.”
Siddiqur Rahman, originally from Madhupur in Tangail, has been active in the entertainment industry for over two decades. He has also been involved in Awami League politics and previously sought party nominations to contest in Dhaka-17 and Tangail-1 constituencies, although unsuccessfully.
