Online Desk: Dhaka Bar Association voting is underway for the second consecutive day on Thursday amid boycotting of BNP (Blue Panel) lawyers. The two-day polls to elect the office bearers for 2023-2024 of the Dhaka Bar Association will end this afternoon. As the BNP lawyers boycotted the polls, the voters are few in number today.

Only Awami League’s white panel is continuing their campaign. BNP-backed Blue Panel demanded new election cancelling the ongoing one.

Mizanur Rahman Mamun and Khandoker Golam Kibria are contesting for the posts of president and general secretary respectively from White Panel, while Khorshed Miah Alam and Sayed Nazrul Islam are vying for the posts from Blue Panel. Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Abdullah Abu conducting the polls as Chief Election Commissioner.
