Online Desk  :   A Turkish Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this morning (May 20) after a bird strike caused sparks in one of its engines shortly after takeoff. The incident occurred around 7:00 am and was confirmed by Group Captain SM Ragib Samad, Executive Director of the airport.

He said that the aircraft struck a bird during takeoff, causing sparks to emit from one of the engines. The pilot responded promptly by initiating an emergency landing. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and all passengers are safe. According to airport sources, Turkish Airlines flight TK713, an Airbus A330-303, departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 7:00 am with 290 passengers on board, bound for Istanbul, Turkey. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot noticed sparks coming from one of the aircraft’s two engines and decided to make an immediate emergency landing.
