Online Desk : Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has left Dhaka for a four-day official visit to the United Kingdom on Monday. An Emirates Airlines flight carrying the Chief Adviser and his delegation departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport bound for the UK around 7:30 PM, according to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
During the visit, the Chief Adviser is scheduled to meet King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, where he will receive the “King Charles Harmony Award” from the monarch. He is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and participate in a dialogue organized by the UK-based policy institute Chatham House.
According to the Chief Adviser’s Office, the visit will place special emphasis on securing the UK’s support for Bangladesh’s democratic transition. Additionally, the repatriation of laundered money will be a key topic of discussion. The Chief Adviser is expected to return to the country on June 14.
