Online Desk : This year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations are set to begin on Thursday (June 26) simultaneously across the country. Through Bangla first paper, the written exam will start at 10AM on Thursday. A total of 12,51,111 students are expected to sit for the exams 11 education boards, including madrasa and technical education boards. Of them, 618,015 are male while 633,096 are female students. The theoretical exams will take place from June 26 to August 10, 2025, and practical exams will follow from August 11 to August 21. Ahead of the exams, education boards have issued 10 specific guidelines for examinees:
Arrive 30 minutes early : Students must be seated in their assigned seats at least 30 minutes before the exam begins. On the first day, they must arrive at 9am to locate their seat. Traffic delays should be considered.
Fill in OMR sheet correctly : Candidates must carefully write their roll number, registration number, subject code, and board name using a ballpoint pen, and fill in the corresponding OMR circles accordingly.
Do not fold answer scripts : Folding answer sheets can damage the attached OMR section. Avoid folding under any circumstances.
Use only approved calculators : Only general scientific (non-programmable) calculators are allowed, such as FX-82MS, FX-991EX, FX-991CW, and similar models. Advanced programmable models are strictly prohibited.
No break between exam sections : Each paper includes multiple-choice and creative/written sections, which will be conducted without any break in between.
Mobile phones strictly prohibited : No student is allowed to carry a mobile phone into the exam centre during the exam.
Separate pass required in each section : Candidates must pass MCQ, creative/written, and practical sections (where applicable) separately.
Sit for registered subjects only : Students can only sit for subjects listed in their registration card and admit card.
Seating at different centres : No student will take the exam at their own institution. All seating arrangements will be made through centre transfers.
Sign the attendance sheet : Examinees must sign the attendance sheet for each part of every exam.
