Online Desk  :  Jobseekers and students blocked the Shahbagh intersection on Friday afternoon, demanding urgent reform in the Public Service Commission (PSC) and a re-evaluation of the controversial 44th BCS exam results. The protest began with a march from Dhaka University’s central library under the banner of Chhatra Samabesh. It ended with a complete blockade of Shahbagh, one of Dhaka’s busiest intersections. This caused major traffic disruptions. Protesters raised slogans like “Break PSC’s black hands,” “Reform the PSC,” and “No interim government, take to the streets.” They called for transparency and accountability in PSC recruitment. One of the protesters stated, “The demand for PSC reform is widespread. Despite known question leaks in the 44th, 45th, and 46th BCS exams, the government has failed to act.

Those responsible for the August 5 leak remain unpunished, which shows their continued power, he added.” The agitators called for a full re-evaluation of the 44th BCS results. They also demanded the publication of preliminary, written, and viva exam scores for all candidates to ensure fairness.
