Truck falls off breaking bridge, Khagrachhori-Sajek road communication suspended

Online Desk: A stone-laden truck fell down breaking Maini bridge in Khagrachhori’s Dighinala on Tuesday morning. Following the accident, motor vehicle movement on the Sajek and Baghaichhori road from Dighunala have been suspended since 10:30am.
Meanwhile, tourists on both side, who were returning from Sajek, are in troubles due to the accident. Only pickup vans are moving through alternative bridge. Truck driver managed to flee soon after the accident. Local said the truck was carrying stones as border road construction work is going on. Sajek’s Obokash Resort manager Md Nazmul Hasan said, “Some tourists came to Sajek this noon using alternative bridge.”
