Tk 11.25cr of Dutch Bangla robbed from vehicle while being transported to ATM booths

Online Desk: A gang of armed robbers intercepted a vehicle in Dhaka’s Turag area on Thursday morning and robbed more than Tk 11 crore of Dutch Bangla Bank while it was being transported to ATM booths in the Savar EPZ area.
The incident happened at about 7:30am at Uttara sector no 16, said Shariful Islam, inspector (investigation) of Turag Police Station. The gang attacked the vehicle and took away the money at gunpoint.
Tura Police Station duty officer Sheikh Jahid said Uttara divisional deputy commissioner, OC among top officials are on the spot. Inspector Shariful Islam said, “We are trying to arrest the criminals and recover the looted money.”
