5 killed after truck hits auto-rickshaw in Joypurhat

Online Desk: At least five people were killed after a truck rammed an auto-rickshaw in Joypurhat’s Khetlal upazila this morning. All the deceased were passengers of the auto-rickshaw, said Officer-in-Charge of Khetlal Police Station Rajibul Hasan.
Two of the deceased were identified as Md Amjad, the driver of the auto-rickshaw, and passenger Shahinur Begum. Rezaul Islam, a sub-inspector of Khetlal Police Station, said the accident occurred in Maligari area around 11:15am, leaving two dead on the spot. Three others were declared dead after they were rushed to a local hospital, the police official said.
