Online Desk: A school teacher was killed after being hit by a train at Sadar upazila of Gopalganj district on Sunday morning. The accident took place at Naldanga area of the upazila at around 9 am. The deceased was identified as Badal Biswas, 36, son of Neelratan Bishwas, a resident of Dalnia village under Majhigati union of the upazila.

He was a science teacher of Guadhana Silna Bindu Bashini High Shool. Quoting locals, Rajbari Railway Police Station inspector Somnath Bosu said Rajshahi-bound ‘Tungipara Express’ train hit the teacher’s motorcycle when he was crossing the rail track.

After being hit, he fell into a ditch 30-40 feet away from the rail track and died in the spot. Later, being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
