Online Desk: A total of 49,194 students (35.34 percent) passed the MBBS/BDS admission test held on Friday across the country. Of those who passed, 20,813 are male and 28,381 are female (42.31 percent and 57.69 percent respectively). Health Minister Zahid Maleque announced the results at a press conference at the old building of the health directorate in Dhaka’s Mohakhali this afternoon.
Rafsan Zaman, a student of Chittagong Medical College Center, is the highest scorer of the test.The results have been uploaded to the websites of the health directorate, medical education directorate and Teletalk websites, according to Masudur Rahman, director (medical education) at the Directorate General of Medical Education.
“Each of the successful candidates will also be notified via SMS to their registered mobile phone numbers,” Masudur Rahman said. The candidates can also get their results in these web links: http://result.dghs.gov.bd/, https://dgme.portal.gov.bd/, and http://dgme.teletalk.com.bd/.
This year, around 1.39 lakh applicants sat for the entry test for 11,122 seats in the medical college admission test. The pass mark was 40 out of 100 in the multiple choice question test. There are 4,350 seats in 37 public medical colleges and 6,772 seats in 72 private medical colleges, according to the health ministry. In 2022, the medical admission test was held on April 1 where 1.43 lakh students.
