The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk : The government has extended Rajdhani Unnayon Kartripokkho (RAJUK) chairman MdAnisur Rahman Mia’s term for one year. A circular of Public Administration Ministry signed by deputy secretary MdRafiqul Islam issued on March 13, 2023 stated that government Secretary MdAnisur Rahman Mia, currently serving as chairman of RAJUK has been contractually appointed to the same post for the period of one year.  The contractual appoint to the post RAJUK chairman will be effective from April 2, 2023 or from the date of joining.  The Ministry of Public Administration appointed Anichur Rahman as the chairman of Rajuk last year (May 18) by issuing an appointment order effective from June 4 of last year while there was an additional secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.Anichur Rahman Mia joined the government service in 1993 as an officer of the 11th batch administration cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service.

He has worked at various levels of administration. Served as Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Tangail and Narayanganj districts at various levels of the ministry. Besides, he was also on duty as the Director of Property Department of Capital Development Authority and Additional Secretary of Appointment, Promotion and Posting (APD) Department of Ministry of Public Administration. On 4 June 2022, he started his tenure as the Chairman of Capital Development Authority (RAJUK). On October 27 of the same year, he was promoted to the post of secretary. After his promotion, he was appointed as the Chairman of Rajuk.
