7 held with 56-kg hemp in Cumilla

Online Desk: Police arrested seven people with 56kgs of hemp and seven locally-made sharp weapons from Bangara in Cumilla on Friday midnight.

The arrestees are Nurul Haq, 40, Sohel, 28, Md Arif, 28, Uzzal, 22, Nur Bhuyian, 35, Babu, 22, and Mohammad Chawdhury, 26.

Cumilla Additional Police Super (Crime) Ashfakuzzaman Khandaker said Police conducted the drive in Bangara Bazar area on Friday midnight and arrested the seven drug traders with the contraband drug. Legal action was taken against the arrestees.
