Extend Eid vacation for a day: Jatri Kalyan Samity

Online Desk: Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity today demanded that the government extend the Eid-ul Fitr vacation for one day on April 20. The Eid vacation is set to start from April 21.

The Samity came up with the demand to reduce the deaths in road accidents as well as unbearable traffic congestion, passengers’ harassment on the way and fare anarchy during the upcoming Eid, said a press release.

The Samity’s Secretary General Md Mozammel Haque Chowdhury made the demand at a press conference held at Dhaka Reporters Unity in the capital’s Segunbagicha this morning.
