Online Desk: Digital Security Act (DSA) is very essential to control cyber crimes. So, this law cannot be repeal in any way, said Law Minister Anisul Huq on Sunday. Talking to journalists at his secretariat office in the capital in the afternoon, the Law Minister said the DSA is a very essential law to contain cyber crimes. This law couldn’t be repealed in any way.
When his attention was drawn to the misuse of the DSA, he said, “The matter is being examined.” Menawhile, Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun called on Law Minister on Sunday.
When asked whether he had talked to the IGP regarding the bail of Prothom Alo Editor and keeping a journalist of the newspaper in jail, the Law Minister said, “I don’t talk to anyone else abut sub-judice matter. It’s a matter of court. We’ll have to accept whatever steps are taken by court.”
After meeting with the Law Minister, the IGP talked to journalists. When asked whether he had talked about Prothom Alo editor’s bail and keeping a journalist in jail with the Law Minister, Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said, “Wait and see.”
