Online Desk: Khagrachhari district administration has imposed section 144 on Friday night as district Swechchhasebak Dal — BNP’s volunteer wing, and Jatiya Sramik League’s municipal wing announced programmes at the same place on Saturday.

Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner Md Shahiduzzaman on Friday night issued the order which would be in effect from 8am to 10pm on Saturday in the bus terminal area of the district to avoid any untoward situation.

According police report, BNP backed- district Swechchhasebak Dal will organise an iftar mahfil on Saturday at a ground adjacent to the central bus terminal and ruling party AL-backed Sramik League will also hold a workers’ rally and distribute iftar at the same place.

Earlier, district BNP president Wadud Bhuiyan in a press conference held on Friday noon said if their scheduled programme obstructed they will hold a road block programme on April 12 and 13.
