Online Desk: A man was killed and three others were injured as a bus crushed down a battery-run van on Padma bridge expressway at Zajira upazila in Shariatpur district on Sunday morning. The accident took place at Naodoba crossing area of the upazila at around 8 am.

According to locals, a Bhanga-bound Bosumati Paribahan bus rammed the van when its driver attempted to turn the bus. Meanwhile, four passengers of the van crushed under the bus, leaving one dead on the spot and three others critically injured.

Shibchar Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Aminul Islam said being informed, police recovered the body and rescued the injured persons. Later, the injured were sent to a hospital for their treatment.
