The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk : 9 thousand poor people of Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj received Eid gifts from Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina. Sitting at the Kotalipara Upazila Awami League office on Sunday, Sheikh Helal Uddin MP handed over Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Eid gifts of 3,000 sarees, 3,000 Punjabis, 500 lungis to the Union Awami League president general secretaries for distribution among the poor people. At the same time, he distributed Tk 11 lakh 40 thousand for Iftar to the Muslims in various mosques of Kotalipara upazila.At that time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Constituency Development Representative, Former Senior Secretary Md. Shahid Ulla Khandkar, Central Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain, Prime Minister’s Personal Assistant Secretary-2 Gazi Hafizur Rahman Liku, Kotalipara Upazila Awami League President Bhabendranath Biswas, General Secretary Aynal Hossain Sheikh, Upazila Awami League Vice President Mujibur Rahman Howladar, Joint General Secretary HM Ahidul Islam, Municipal Mayor Matiar Rahman Hazra, Awami League Leader Jahangir Hossain Khan and other party leaders were present.Earlier, 2500 packets of various foodstuffs including rice, dal, semai, sugar, milk, oil have been distributed to poor people as Eid gifts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Aynal Hossain Sheikh. He said, so far we have given Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Eid gifts sarees, lungi, Punjabi and food items to 9 thousand poor people as a party. Besides, Eid gifts are being distributed among the poor people by the government.Former Senior Secretary Md. Shahid Ulla Khandkar, representative in charge of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s constituency development program, said that Sarees, Lungi, Punjabi and food items are being distributed to the poor people as Eid gifts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina not only in Kotalipara but all over Bangladesh.He also said that not a single person in the country was deprived of Eid joy during the current government’s regime. The current government is working to ensure that not only the people of the Muslim religion but also the people of other religions are not deprived of the joy of Eid.
