Online Desk: A mild heatwave is sweeping over many places of the country, and it may continue, said a weather forecast issued by Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today. “Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chattogram, Rangamati, Feni, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban and Patuakhali and it may continue and spread,” said the bulletin valid for the 24 hours starting from 9:00am today.
The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it added. Day and night temperatures may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature yesterday was 37.7 degrees Celsius recorded at Bandarban while today’s minimum temperature was 19.2 degrees Celsius, recorded at Tetulia. However, no rainfall was recorded across the country during the last 24 hours.
