Online Desk: A court in Khulna on Thursday sent 13 leaders and activists of BNP, including former president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Azizul Bari Helal and Khulna district unit BNP convener Amir Ezaz Khan, in two separate cases filed with Dumuria and Dighlia police stations. Khulna district and sessions judge Meer Shafiqul Alam passed the order.
Other accused in the case includes Sheikh Farhad Hossain, Abrar Hossain Saikat, Abdur Rab Akunji, Md Jaminur Rahman, Molla Moshiur Rahman, Md Shah Newaz Sheikh, Himel Gazi, Nawab Molla, Shohel Rana, Mithu Khan and Syed Sagar.
On February 11, Dumuria unit of BNP arranged a march programme as part of the party’s countrywide programme to press home their 10-point demands, including protest against price hike of essentials and release of the party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. Sub inspector of Tareque Ryan of Dumuria Police Station filed a case against 130 leaders and activists including 18 central leaders of BNP on that night in allegation of creating sabotage.
