Online Desk: Sirajganj District and Sessions Judge Court on Tuesday sent six BNP leaders and activists to jail in a case filed for vandalising and torching motorcycle. The court sent them to jail rejecting their bail prayer after 46 BNP men appeared in the court in the morning.
The six BNP men are district BNP general secretary Saidur Rahman Bachchu. district Jubo Dal general secretary Muraduzzaman Murad, Sadar upazila Jubo Dal president Golam KIbria, Kalia Haripur union Chhatra Dal president Nirlov, Jubo Dal member Sohel Rana and Jubo Dala leader Noman.
Meanwhile, district BNP organising secretary Mirza Mostafa Zaman, vice-president Nazmul Hasan Rana, joint secretary Rashedul Hasan Ranjan claimed unconditional bail of the leaders.
Two cases have been filed by Sadar Police Station SI Saiful Islam and Kalia Haripur union Awami League general secretary Jahangir Hossain against 986 BNP leaders and activists on charge of torching and vandalising 13 motorbikes, blasting cocktails and obstructing police members to perform their duties on February 11 at Paikpara Bazar under Sadar upazila, it was learnt.
