Online Desk: Bangladesh Metrological Department (BMD) has predicted formation of a low pressure area over the Southeast Bay and adjoining area. “A low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay and its adjoining area by May 8,” said Dr Abul Kalam Mallik, a meteorologist of BMD.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places,” Met office said in its bulletin.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country. Besides, a trough of Westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area.
