Rab arrests 4 members of Jama’atul Ansar

Online Desk: Rapid Action Battalion said it arrested four members of a “recently surfaced militant group” Jama’atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya, including its Dawah wing chief, from Sylhet.

The arrestees include Abdullah Maimun, Dawah wing chief and the sura members of the militant outfit. Khandaker Al Moin, Rab’s legal and media wing director, confirmed it to The Daily Star this morning.

All the four militants took training in the hills. They were arrested from Boroshala Bazar area in Bandar upazila, Rab said. Rab will hold a press briefing in Sylhet later in the day in this regard.
