Online Desk: A student of Jagannath University (JnU) has filed a complaint accusing some female Chhatra League activists of torturing her keeping her confined for three hours at a dormitory. The accused are Tamanna Islam Tonni, Falguni Akter, Ninza Shikdar, Ira and Nazmoon Nahar Shorna. The victim filed the written complaint on Wednesday (May 17).

According to the complaint, on Tuesday, an altercation over a trifling matter took place between the victim student with a junior student Rebeka Khatun of Botany Department. Later, Rebeka called other BCL activist of the room and tortured the victim in the room from 8:30pm-11:30pm keeping her confined.

They also used abusive words, the victim alleged. At one stage, the victim student became unconscious. Keeping anonymity, a student of the dormitory said, “My room is beside the victim’s room. Hearing chaos, I went to that room and tried to took the victim out of the room. But Rebeka, Ninza and Falguni confined her.”
