The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk : At least 25 leaders and activists were injured in a clash between Awami League and BNP in Patuakhali on Saturday. Police have used tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. BNP men said Leaders and activists of BNP gathered in front of the party’s central office at Banani intersection of Patuakhali in the morning for their pre-scheduled rally to press home their 10-point demand, including release of party chairperson Kaleda Zia. They claimed that to create anarchy Juba league and Chhatra League men attacked them.
On the other hand denying the allegation, Awami League men said leaders and activists throw brick bats to foil their peace rally, leaving the men injured.
Police Super of Patuakhali acknowledging the matter said to control the situation police used tear shell.
