Bangladesh announces 29th gas field in Bhola’s Ilisha : Nasrul Hamid

Online Desk: State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Monday formally announced Bhola’s Ilisha as the country’s 29th gas field. He made the announcement from his Baridhara residence in Dhaka in the morning.

The state minister said the new gas field has a possible reserve of 200 billion cubic feet of gas to be extractable in next 26-30 years at 20-22 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD). With the new reserve, Bhola island has 2.23 trillion cubic feet of gas.
