The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: Jatiya Party mayoral candidate Mostafizar Rahman of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) had to wait about 30 minutes to cast his vote due to a glitch in electronic voting machine (EVM). The JP leader along with his family members and party leaders and activists went to Alamnagar Collegepara Government Primary School centre at 8:50 am today.

He had to wait for 30 minutes to cast his vote as the EVM was not working. Finally, Mostafizar could vote at 9:21am. While talking to media, Mostafizar said the EVM malfunction is a failure of the Election Commission and it happened due to “negligence of duty” of those involved in the election process. Mostafizar said, “The voting was delayed due to EVM malfunctioning.  I will talk to the returning officer. EMVs are not working at two booths at this polling station.”
