Online Desk: Police have filed two separate cases against several leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on charge of attacking police members and clash in the city’s Dhanmondi on Tuesday during the party’s march programme.
Dhanmondi Police Station OC Ikram Ali Miah confirmed about the case on Wednesday. He said two cases were filed–one for attack on police and another was filed for creating violence. The cases were filed against some BNP men mentioning the name of 52 leaders and activists.
Twenty-seven have been arrested, so far, in the cases. They were sent to court seeking three-day remand in the case filed for attacking police.
