Online Desk: Police have arrested Rajshahi district BNP convener Abu Sayeed Chand in some cases filed with different police station for making a ‘death threat’ against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

A patrol team of police arrested him from the city’s Bheripara intersection around 11am. Later, he was taken to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) office.

The BNP leader said at a rally on May 19 on Shibchar High School playground in Rajshahi’s Puthia upazila that there will be no 27 points or 10 points. The only demand is to send Sheikh Hasina to the grave. This video later enraged the public’s sentiment.

Then several cases have been filed against Chand with different police stations across the country. And after that, police drives were on to arrest the BNP leader.
