Online Desk: Four persons including a woman and her two children were burnt in a fire that broke out at a house in Chattogram city’s Shahidnagar area. Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence’s control room sources said the blaze originated around 4:30am at the tin-shed rooms of Delwar Company in Shahidnagar area under Bayezid Bostamy Police Station.

Being informed, two units went to the scene and brought the fire under control within an hour. Six tin-shed rooms of six owners were totally burnt down. Bayezid Bostamy Police Station OC Ferdous Jahan said the blaze originated from a mosquito coil at a house of one Tota Miah.

Later, four burnt people were recovered from two rooms and rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital. The victims are Nurnahar Begum, 30, her two children Maruf ,1, and Fariza Akter, 3; and neighbour Imam Uddin Imon, 23.
