Ex-Gazipur mayor Zahangir being quizzed by ACC

Online Desk: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is quizzing former mayor of Gazipur City Corporation Zahangir Alam on different graft allegations.

He went to the ACC headquarters around 10:30am. Soon after that, ACC’s Deputy Director Ali Akbar began to quiz him, sources confirmed. He was earlier asked to appear on May 21 and 22, but he sought more time.

Later, the ACC fixed June 6 and June 7 for questioning him. There are allegations against Zahangir of misappropriating huge sums of money from different development projects.
