Online Desk: Dhaka city saw drizzles on Thursday morning, providing some brief relief from the scorching heat that has been sweeping across the country for several days.

The day started with a cloudy sky, and Dhaka dwellers witnessed drizzles on their way to work in the morning around 9:15 am. However, the drizzles caused gridlock on several major streets in Dhaka, and city dwellers were stuck on the road during rush hour.

SM Ahadul islam, a resident of the Ramna area, said “We are finally relieved as the rain started after unbearable heat.”

According to the Met Office bulletin on Wednesday, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places in Chattogram division and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions.
