Online Desk: Fahim Faisal Rifat, son of Sadhurpara union parishad chairman Mahmudul Alam Babu, who is the prime accused of journalist Nadim murder, has been expelled from Bakshiganj Upazila Chhatra League’s joint convener’s post by Jamalpur district Chhatra League. He was expelled through a letter signed by Jamalpur district Chhatra League president Khabirul Islam Babu and general secretary Nafiul Karim Rabbi on Saturday afternoon.
The letter reads that a group of miscreants launched a sudden attack on Banglanews and Ekattor Television correspondent Golam Rabbani Nadim at Pathati crossing in Bakshiganj municipal town when he was returning home at about 10:00pm on Wednesday (June 14). He was mercilessly beaten there. As he fell unconscious at one stage, the attackers fled the spot leaving him behind. Critically injured Nadim was first admitted to Bakshiganj Upazila Health Complex and then to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated. It was very unfortunate that he died at about 2:50pm on Thursday (June 15) while underwent treatment.

So, you have been expelled from Bakshiganj Upazila Chhatra League’s joint convener’s post for violating the organisation’s discipline. It may be mentioned that accused Rifat is the No. 2 accused of journalist Nadim nmurder case.
